Hi guys!  I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend.  We had a great weekend although it always seems to fly by.  We spent pretty much all day Saturday at LSU tailgating for the LSU-West Virginia game.  This was the latest game I have been to in a long time.  We got out to our tailgate spot to meet our friends at about 2:00.  We basically tailgated for about 6 hours before the game started at 8:00.  The game was super fun, a little stressful due to offense as usual.  But we are 4-0!  We didn't get home until almost 1 a.m.  I forgot how old I feel when I stay out super late.  I am so used to going to bed these days not long after Maddie which is usually 10:00pm.  Needless to say, I felt like a maw maw!  :)  We spent Sunday at my dad's house where we picked up Maddie, grilled burgers, and watched the Saints game.  Our Saints need to get with it!  We shouldn't have had to worry about overtime.  Oh well, love them anyway!

Even after the long weekend, I still had some time to work on jewelry last night after watching Brothers and Sisters (which is a great show if you don't watch).  I worked on a keychain with wirewrapped gemstones for an etsy order that I had.  After making that, I was kind of inspired to work on a cute initial necklace with a wirewrapped semi precious amethyst.  I think these are perfect for dressing up or down and could also be the perfect gift for bridesmaids or birthday gifts.   Tell me what you think....

Times flies...

Ok, so I can't believe that my precious tiny baby girl is already going to be 1 in a few weeks!  Where has the time gone?  Everyone always tells you that you should cherish your babies when they are young because they grow up fast.  Well they weren't kidding!  It seems like just a few months ago when we took her home from the hospital and now she is walking around all over the place.  It really is so fun to watch her learn and grow but I so miss those days when she was just a newborn.  Anyway, now that she is almost one, it is birthday planning time!  I have been scouring the internet trying to find the cutest decorations and I think I have settled on a cupcake theme.  This is mainly because my mom is making her an adorable A-line dress with a cupcake and her name embroidered on the front.  I can't wait!  Ok, so here are my ideas for her decorations that I found online at http://www.1stwishes.com/.

I really wanted to incorporate the pink and brown scheme since I am kind of slightly obsessed with that color combo when it comes to Maddie.  I think I can take portions of this theme and mix it up with pink and brown plates and balloons.  I also found these super cute invitations on etsy that I will probably order after we have her pictures done and print with her picture on them.  Love them!  They are from PolkaDotPrintables on Etsy.

Well now it is on to find cake ideas.  If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!  I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

First Official Blog Post

Hi everyone!  Well I guess for now everyone means me until I start getting some followers :)  I am new to the blogging scene and I hope I catch on quick.  I hope everyone enjoys reading about my wonderful little family and our life together!

So, today is officially the last day of summer.  I personally cannot wait for some cooler weather to come through!  It pretty much has been about 90-95 degrees here this entire week.  I am looking forward to the leaves turning, cool fronts, chilly football games, and all the lovely fall smells!  I think it might be time to break out my fall scents on my scentsy warmers and really get in the mood.   Here are a few pics from this past weekend at the LSU football game.  Geaux Tigers!!

For any sports fan who really loves their team, check out my hand stamped college/school necklaces and pro-football necklaces.  I can match up any team and colors that you like!  Here are 2 samples of my Louisiana teams.

I hope everyone has a wonderful evening!
